San Antonio de Padua Church
St. Anthony's Church was founded on 10 December 1950 by Fr. Romeo Cormie, OFM (Quebec Province, Canada). This Church became a source of spiritual life to the people around Nikko and for people coming from all over the country and even foreign tourists.
In year 2000, Nikko Church celebrated its 50th Year Golden Anniversary foundation and the Catholic Diocese of Saitama recognized Nikko Parish as a PILGRIMAGE PARISH CHURCH of the Diocese.
The Parish of Nikko is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. Anthony (1195-1231) as the disciple of St. Francis of Assisi is famous for his preaching. And in the Catholic Church, St. Anthony is known all over the world as the Patron Saint for the recovery of lost things - marriage, engagement, for bride suffering from infertility, for old people, for love and even for animals. Try to pray in his intercession!
Take your time to relax and enjoy the presence of the Lord in this quiet place surrounded with nature. And enjoy yourself as you tour around the City of Nikko —Japan's National Park.
聖アントニオ教会は1950年12月10日、ロメオ・コルミエ神父 フランシス会（カナダ・ケベック管区）には創建され、日光地区信徒、外国から観光で来られた信徒の信仰の源となりました。
2000年には献堂50周年を祝いさいたま教区の巡礼教会になりました。
パドヴァの聖アントニオ（1195年～1231年）はアシシの聖フランシスコの弟子として得意な説教で活躍し、またカトリック教会で失せ物、結婚、縁結び、花嫁、不妊症に悩む人々、愛、老人、動物の聖人とされています。聖アントニオの取り次ぎによってお祈りください。
